Our Stateside Wedding Reception

The Newlyweds!

It was great to get to see old friends and family members thanks to this occasion.

Smiling for the camera.

I just love this guy!

  1. Six months after Ally and I were married and had moved to America, her family held a wedding reception for all of Ally's close friends and relatives. Married life has been great. As each year passes, we learn more about each other and about our relationship as a couple. Even though Ally and I are just two big kids, we are having a lot of fun growing up together! ~ Stefano

We learned pretty quickly that if our marriage was going to be a successful one we were going to need to work at it. Certainly, this was easier said than done! Stefano learned that my thoughts, ideas, and reactions were more emotional and that I needed to be listened to and not be given solutions to problems. I learned that Stefano reasoned more logically and was very practical in his thoughts, ideas, and reactions. After two weeks of married life we realized that things weren't going to work if I chose to keep things inside with hopes that Stefano would learn to read my mind and if Stefano didn't try harder to listen to me and just empathize. I knew that I was going to have to try to spell things out practically and Stefano knew that he was going to need to develop a more understanding heart. We made a promise just two weeks in that we were going to work hard at realizing our individual goals for each other. It is not always easy to remember this promise, but we know that when we do we really have a more understanding and unified marriage. ~ Ally
