Our Linus

Linus's blessing day.

Isn't this such an amazing smile?...these were Linus's short lived chubby days.

Waiting on our miracle.

  1. Stefano and I always knew that starting a family wasn’t going to be the easiest journey. No doctor really seemed very encouraging until I was given an appointment with my doctor's physician assistant. She was always very hopeful and she created a fertility plan for us. I needed to take a medicine that had many side effects for three months. Near the end of the three months, I started feeling a lot of painful lower abdominal pain. It got so intense that my PA thought that the medicine may have caused some cysts to develop. At one point, a nurse even told me that I might either have cancer or be pregnant. I was never worried because I was blessed with a feeling that everything was going to be alright. After I had an ultrasound and some blood work done, a nurse called me and told me that I was indeed pregnant! My PA was so surprised and said that "according to textbook," this wasn't supposed to be able to have happened. Stefano and I were so excited. The day that I found out that I was pregnant was one of the happiest of my life.

The top picture is of Linus's baby blessing. Even though it was his baby blessing, I think I began to realize that Heavenly Father blessed me greatly with a baby to love, teach, and take care of. At times, it can be scary to think of the great responsibility we have been given by Heavenly Father and it is comforting to know how much He helps us be the best parents we can be. The Lord richly blessed our lives with our Linus.

After Linus was born, our doctors told us that our journey to creating a large family would continue to be a difficult one for us. We are not giving up hope and we will continue to try to do all that we can to increase our family. We feel strongly that an adoption is the right path for our family to take at this time and we look forward to all the blessings an adoption will bring to us in a new baby and in the friendship with its birth mother and father.
